IDEA conducts several Training Courses throughout the year that provide orientation to counterfeit mitigation and training based on IDEA-STD-1010: Acceptability of Electronic Components Distributed in the Open Market for preparation for the IDEA-ICE-3000 Professional Inspector Certification Exam. The curriculum offers both lecture and hands-on experience, particularly in examination and the detection of substandard and counterfeit characteristics utilizing both non-magnification and magnification techniques. Seminars are available in both one-day and two-day formats.
The Courses are recommended for a number of professionals within the electronics industry, including management, component engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and inspection personnel. Registrants are not required to be candidates for the IDEA-ICE-3000 Exam.
Note: Successful completion of the IDEA Training Course does not guarantee eligibility for the IDEA-ICE-3000 Exam. Candidates must be employees of an OEM, CM, EMS Provider, or IDEA General Member to meet eligibility requirements for the Exam. All prospective IDEA-ICE-3000 Exam candidates must contact IDEA prior to submitting an Exam application to confirm they have fulfilled all eligibility requirements.
Site-Specific Courses
In addition to public training events, IDEA also offers site-specific Courses. For more information about a private course at your location, please email your inquiry to info@idofea.org.
